Since 1959 St Clare Engineering Ltd has been manufacturing a range of fork lift truck attachments for handling drums and other containers under the Grab-O-Matic trade name.
Here are some of the reasons why our products can be found in the oil, chemical, logistics and engineering industries, from the Arctic Circle to the Arabian Gulf:
The name Grab-O-Matic represents a whole range of drum handling devices. As well as devices for lifting, moving and tilting drums, specialist equipment using the same technology and quality components includes work platforms, self-dumping hoppers, stacker trucks, pedestrian drum trolleys and reel turning units.
We can also manufacture bespoke items to customer requirements, based on a sketch or verbal description.
We have developed a spring-loaded quick attaching and release mechanism for our fork attachment drum handlers, making it safer for operators to securely fit and remove an attachment as required without leaving the safety of their cab. This also saves time and improves productivity.
Safety is paramount when we design and manufacture our equipment. All items are constructed from high quality British steel, with frames and pillars made from 6-12mm steel. They carry the CE mark and come with a certificate of conformity and full operational instructions. In addition, attachments are manufactured in the UK to ISO 9001:2015 and issued with test certificates to confirm safe working loads.
Peace of mind
Fork lift truck operators have complete peace of mind that our equipment won’t let them down when they need it.
Grab-O-Matic drum handling attachments are robust, manufactured entirely in the UK by precision engineers, and we carry out a 100% inspection of all products before they leave the factory.
St Clare engineering also offers an annual safety check, service and certification of all our products, repairing any identified defects.
