We are incredibly excited and proud to announce that St Clare Engineering has been nominated for a Fork Lift Truck Association Award for Excellence 2020. Within the materials handling industry these are the largest and most prestigious awards, and it’s particularly important to us that we’ve been nominated in the safety category for our Quick Attach/Release system.

The Quick Attach/Release system is part of our long tradition of improving safety in the workplace with our drum and materials handling products.

Improving workplace safety

The system is a spring-loaded quick attach and release mechanism connecting attachments to the forks of trucks. It allows a drum handling unit to be attached quickly and securely and disengaged without the driver having to leave their seat. This reduces attachment change over time and improves health and safety by:

  • Ensuring the unit is always properly attached to the fork truck whenever it is used
  • It speeds up the handling of multiple loads requiring fork attachments
  • The driver stays safely in his or her seat and in full control of the forklift truck

Our Grab-O-Matic range of drum and materials handling equipment is precision manufactured in the UK from high quality British steel. The product line has been the foundation of our reputation as one of the world leaders in drum handling; we export more than 30% of production globally.

The awards ceremony takes place in March 2020, and with attendees travelling to Birmingham from Europe and the Far East, we look forward to meeting many of our industry colleagues there.
